I have a saying. I hate to admit that, but I do.
Everyone has a story, some are just more colorful than others.
I like the saying. It holds true. It does not mean that one story is better than another, simply that the color pallets are different. Some are darker, while others are very vibrant. I will tell you this, I hate people. I cannot stand them. However, I love individuals. The things that make them tick. The things that make them smile. The things that make them sad. It fascinates me. I love finding out about people. Where they have been, the things they have done, and the hardships and joy they have found along the way.
Those who struggle with something, are the most complex to me. And a source of hope. I hope that you as a person, are able to struggle through it, cry, scream, kick, bite, and punch your way to your destination. Your goal. I hope that anyone who goes through these times, learns how to fight, in their own way, and succeed. It is never easy when the stakes are that high, and whoever you may be, I hope you learn that you have the strength to do what you are trying to do. Change your story.
To those individuals that have the other type of life, where you do not have the struggles that some others may have, your story is one of blessing. It should also be one of responsibility. I hope that you realize this, and have the decency, that when you see someone who struggles with their story, to offer a hand. Doing this can change someones life. This simple gesture of support.
When you do this, there are times when something incredible occurs. Both of your stories change. They become one. They merge and twist, and intertwine, and become something better than they were before. I was lucky enough to find someone who offered a hand in a fashion I had never experienced before, and it changed my life. For that, I will always be grateful.
Your story is yours. Make it something special to you. Bless those around you by making their story a part of yours, and your story a part of theirs. The result will be more colorful in the end.
Find your story. Enjoy what you do.
