Monday

The little boy came running into the class room, his smile spread across his face as he hummed to himself.

The teacher watched the boy as he went about getting his pencils and paper ready for the day, continuing to hum as he did.

“Monday is a hockey day,” he said to his friend in the next seat.

His friend smiled, “It is? I like hockey.”

“Me too,” the boy replied, and started humming again.

The teacher could not contain her curiosity any longer and smiled at the boy. “I did not know you liked sports that much.”

“Just hockey. It’s a lot of fun, and Mom said Monday is a hockey day,” the boy replied with a big grin.

“I did not think Monday was hockey, I thought it was football?” The teacher asked.

The little boy shook his head, “Nope. Mom said it was some kind of hockey day.”

The teacher was slightly confused and asked, “What do you mean, some kind of hockey day?”

The little boy shrugged, “Not sure, but Mom said that Monday’s were H. E. double hockey stick day.”

The teacher smiled. “Yes, Monday’s are hockey days.”

Hockey Monday. Enjoy what you do.
