Inevitably, we all lose someone.

Death touches each of us at one point or another throughout our lives, but it is never easy. When it happens, tears roll, the heart aches… and our lives will never be the same.

Our lives won’t ever be the same again because, a very special light in our lives has gone out, faded from our sight.

Our heart aches because, it will miss that special person that has passed, even when we did not want them to go.

Tears roll because, that person meant something. They were someone special. Someone who had an impact on our lives.

All of these occur because, that person, like you, was unique. A special combination of the things that made them, Them.

We hurt that they are gone, and our tears show our pain, but with each tear we shed, and each and every ache of the heart, the true strength of that person’s presence in our lives should come through, and show just how important they were to us. And we should smile at those memories, and the uniqueness of the person that allowed us to have them.

My heart goes out to those who cry with me, but please, smile at the gift of knowing someone who left such a great, and lasting impression.
